Nice. I got it for a decent price I think. Maybe i paid too much, I dunno. 44$ too much?

It didn't say. I'm guessing not. This is my first straight purchase and I'm 100% noob with this. I'll e-mail the seller and find out. If it's not what should I do?
$44 is worth it to not have to sand out the pitting and polish it for hours. That's not to mention re-scaling. I'd say yes if it's a good shaver.
Always assume no, test, and hone/have it honed before you try to shave with it.
