Just got DR Harris Rose

So I am a huge fan of the DR Harris soaps. I wanted to try some creams so I bought a tube of the Rose Shaving Cream. All I can say is WOW! I was a little leery of the Rose being a effeminate smell but it was very masculine and very pleasant. It has a bit of woodsy undertones to go along with the rose smell. I used my, Edwin Jagger Best Badger Brush, Merker 32C razor with a brand new Astra blade I had just gotten in a sampler pack.

The lather was amazing. I face lathered then used a bowl to build up a bigger lather for the other passes. More than enough for four passes. The cream had great protection and no burn at all. This has been by far the best cream I have every used, which consists of Musgo Real, T&H, Edwin Jagger and C&E. Are of of DRH this good?

Don't know much about the creams you mentioned, but bought some Rose of Bulgaria that was mentioned on a different thread and I have to say that out of the 8 or 9 different creams I have, the Rose of B is my favorite. Not feminine at all, but still a nice rose fragrance.

Did this Rose stain your brush? It,along with the Trumpers Rose, significantly stained my Simpson Chubby3 brush .

The DR Harris Arlington is a great cream.If you like the Rose,try Truefitt&Hill Rose. IMO,its far better than the Harris.

DRH vs T&H Roses!
This is like debating Carrie U vs Taylor S.
Both are huge, award-winners!

T&H & Harris are both great rose creams. Try Harris lavender.

Not thus far. Once it actually lathers the pink color fades out.

The DR Harris Arlington is a great cream.If you like the Rose,try Truefitt&Hill Rose. IMO,its far better than the Harris.

I have tried the T&H. I'm really torn. I like the scent better for the T&H. However, DRH performed a little bit better for me. But the T&H was only a sample. I liked the thickness of the DR Harris. I also love Arlington. I have the Shave stick and AS Splash. Both are really big players in my rotation. I am much more of a soap user than a cream guy. However, DR Harris didn't have Rose in Soap form.

I absolutely love my T&H Rose as the performance and the scent are top notch. Occasionally, I will incorporate a small dash of T&H Rose on top of a brush loaded with the soap/cream of the day.....purely for the added aroma. The rose scent goes well with many other scents. It makes a great shave even better.
