For my first step up from corncobs, I've been looking at Jake Hackert pipes. I don't know what it is exactly about them I like, but they sure do look great to me. Maybe a bit non-traditional. Maybe a bit gaudy to some. But I likey... a lot! The short length definitely appeals to me, as I don't really care for the aesthetics of longer pipes. I also like the disproportionately large bowl. And the stems... I like the stems, too. The guy who runs the YouTube channel called dagnerperformance has a a good collection of Hackerts and there's something very appealing to me about his personal style of smoking those stubby Hackerts. Makes the tobacco look so damn tastey, he does with those pipes! Well I guess I do know exactly what I like about them.
Anyway, I was hoping someone here at B&B has some firsthand experience with Hackert pipes and could share their opinions on them. Even if you don't own a Hackert, I'd still like to hear your opinion of them. Thanks.
