I had to go to a laundromat for the first time in ages today. It is next to a Latin market. I've been wanting to try some Florida Water. I was told that it is citrusy like GFT's Eau de Portugal, which I enjoyed when I had a sample of it. I found it in this Latin market!

I only cracked it open to get a little whiff from this small plastic bottle which cost $3. It smells to me more like GFT's Milk of Flowers than Eau de Portugal. I'll evaluate it more thoroughly after my late lazy Sunday shave.

I use the M & L brand that I get from my Local HEB grocery store. It is a great scent for warmer weather.

The M&L Florida Water, to me, is a light, fresh, slightly sweet floral, clean smelling cologne. It didn't last longer than a few hours on me, but it's a great bargain at it's regular price of $3 a bottle. I enjoyed it as a Saturday morning splash.

Awright! Had a chance to splash some on. It spilled quickly out of the top of the bottle and I splashed a good amount on. Yes, I get the citrus. I still also get that milk of flowers scent. Very light clove in there, too. It is the milk of flowers scent that lingers for me an hour later, rather than the cutrus or any clove. Good amount of sting with this splash. Something different to try post shave! Not too concerned about the scent lingering as I don't wear a heavy cologne for work.

Nice score. Florida Water has something minty going on too, doesn't it? It's too bad they don't put it in glass bottles anymore. It would be a pretty cool thing to have then. Cheap, refreshing and magical.

Just curious what you didn't like about it?

I found it to be a very pleasant short lived citrus orange scent and use it mostly as an aftershave.

Agree. The bottle I got smelled like a noxious weed patch that dried down to the strong scent of cloves. Horrible is right. Poured it down the drain.

Wonder if you guys got bad bottles, not a hint of cloves or anything remotely offensive. Just light citrus that was gone in about 30 minutes for me.

Same experience here, very light and very short lived citrus. Nice as a splash.

About a year ago I ordered a 7.5 oz. glass bottle from http://www.luckymojo.com/mojocatperfumes.html. It looks like they still sell them.

I am getting much more of the citrus smell now. I have used it three days in a row. It almost smelled "Fruit Loopy" to me today. I still don't get any sort of spice or clove. Missing the mint, too, but still sorting it out!
