Well, I went to a local potter and described exactly what I was after. A shaving bowl with a low down handle so that I can put my thumb through it whilst holding the bowl (palm under the bowl) so I can keep a good grip even with slippy wet hands. I wanted a slightly tapering top to keep in the lather also.
I went to collect them yesterday and I could not be happier with the results. It is exactly as I wanted. The bowls float nicely (even with my T&H superbadger brush in) and so keep nice and warm in my sink of hot water whilst I am shaving.
I had two made, one for my brother (another committed DE shaver) and one for myself. Only two like it in the world!
