Is this modification possible or wise for that matter?

I am a newbie to de shaving. 3 months to be exact. I thought i was purchasing a merkur 34c for my first razor. I believe i actuallly bought a 39c or classic, 3 piece. The box was accidently thrown away. Needless to say i hate the handle, it is to long and thin for my amazing shave skillshaha. I really like the look of the ikon handle. Is this a possible match? and do you think it will add some heft and change the overall handling of the razor. Or should i just scrap it? Any info would be helpful. And if this is a stupid idea let me know. Thanks

It wouldn't be the 39C, as that's the slant, and is a two piece. If it's a three piece, the iKon should work fine.

Sounds like you may have gotten a 23C Merkur. Either way, the heads are all the same and shave well. You are usually pretty safe to put any handle on that razor head - as long as, like James says, it is a three piece.
