Is this a 1941 Aristocrat?

This razor is for sale locally, and as you can see, it's in beautiful condition. No case though. There doesn't appear to be any date code or serial no on it, so I'm trying to ID it by pictures. I think it's a 1941 Aristocrat (1941 because it is unnotched... not sure what end caps are).

Here's the link to the shave wiki for reference.

The seller is asking $10, but I'm not sure of the value without the case.

To be fair, she asks $10 for every razor she has, regardless of condition (unless it's in a case... then it's $15). I can usually get her down if I buy a few other things. Her shop usually caters to my interests though. So that's good.

Thanks! I thought that was the "unnotched" bit. I guess that refers to something else.

No problem! I believe the notched/unnotched bit refers to the bar inside the head where you load the blade. The notch gave the blade something to catch on, making it easier to load from one of their blade dispensers.

He is correct.
the two razors are un-notched and the one razor is notched.

Here is your plan:

1) Stop Posting
2) BUY THAT RAZOR, no haggling, no second guessing, no nothin' BUY IT!
3) Clean it
4) Get what may be the best shave of your LIFE.

That's a great looking razor and at a fantastic price.

I think I have decided that a 41' Aristocrat is the birth year razor I want for my Dad. I would prefer the Rhodium British model, but he would like the gold USA model. I honestly don't know what to expect to pay for one yet. I don't know if I can get one in near mint condition for, say, under $75. If I had to pay more than that, it would likely be just as good to buy one in fair user grade and have it replated to be perfect.

Well, I guess that settles it. No boss today, so I should be able to take a few extra minutes on my lunch break and head across town to pick it up. :D Thanks for the enabling guys.
