! I have no idea if that's too much as I'm a total newb, but it sure looks like it!
Good grief, does he even get hair off his face as his razor is cutting through all that?

I like my 2nd and 3rd pass to be thinner, but for a first pass that looks about right to me.
More power to him. The more he uses, the more he buys, the more our favorite companies stay in business. Why would he be holding the brush 'incorrectly'? I don't grip the bristles and I get plenty of lather action. Some people are just mean.
I think it's too much. This guy is just wasting soap/cream. If I get a lather that's too thick my razor will just glide over it like it's hydroplaning and leave a trail of flattened foam on top of uncut hair. I only need enough to cover the hair to its tip and then a little more just to be safe. This guy has like 18 times more foam than hair.
I was half expecting him to open his mouth and do all around the inside of that as well. 
I don't know about the lather, but that dude has an absolutely riveting series of shiny shirt videos.

I was thinking the same thing.
You hit it! It's up to him to hold that brush and it's up to him how much product he uses. Eventually he'll find his way to communicate with other wet shavers and tries less lather a day - or he already has and likes it this way.
What's this about holding the brush incorrectly?
maybe it was his halloween costume. He was going as the Arko shave stick model.
