India-Old spice Lime. Any good?

As the title says I was looking at the threads about lime After shave and came across the Old Spice lime AS that can be bought on line from vendors in India. Any one have info? is it worth the £5 for 50ml with free P+P.

Thanks guys.

That price is a little high...try http://www.desistores.net ,they may be cheaper.....put "old spice" in the search line and/or try "shaving creams" in the search line,Palmolive creams must be searched as "palmolive" or they won't show up in the cream search..All the Old Spice creams from India are very good. The lime potency is not as powerful as Lider lime, not as "vibrant",but the lather itself is very nice..

Thanks Malocchio. The creams to the UK are only a few quid. It's the After shave I was looking at / thinking about. I was looking at the smaller size of 50ml for £5.

Thanks for the link though. :biggrin1:

I have no experience with their lime AS, but I do have the Old Spice lime shave cream. I like the scent very much. It is very summery.

It's a good cream. The lime smell does nothing significant for me. It's not a mix of OS and lime - it's just a lime scent. I originally hoped it would be some neat combo of OS and citrus. Negatory. But as a product it's good quality. If lime is your thing you won't be disappointed. But the fact that it has the name OS is to me purely a coincidence.

I find that it does smell quite limey at first, but fades into mostly spice throughout the day

I also have a vintage bottle of Shulton Old Spice Lime AS which starts out with a hint of lime and then kicks in later with the good old fashioned Old Spice scent. So when I compare the vintage to the newer "Lime Fresh", the newer version has more "limey-ness" to it than the old.

That was my "go to" in high school (Dad used the classic) and I really wish it was back on the drugstore shelf....even a "new" P&G version

That's exactly the same experience I have with it. I also have a bottle of the Lime cologne which I usually dab around the neck as it keeps the lime scent going just a bit longer.

I really enjoy the vintage Old Spice Lime A/S. I was really lucky to find it in a thrift shop. I'm glad to hear the newer has a little more lime though.

I had a bottle once bought from Shaveabuck. To me there was practically no lime at all. So either thats just the way it is, or, he made a mistake in the order and gave me original OS and I just didn't read it.

Didn't matter anyway, as I figured out pretty quick that I have a slight allergy to Old Spice.
