Ikar

$999 252.jpgIkar cream from Bulgaria...named after Icaris ,the Greekflying legend..Very nice looking tube,a vivid green with bold, uncluttered lettering. This turned out to be a real shaving treat. Very thick and concentrated,as most Bulgarian creams are. A light scent, almost a pure coumarin , "soapy" scent ,that smells so clean. Easy to achieve great lather, and that lather is super cushioning ,what a "comfortable" shaving experience. thumbs way up on this one !

Malocchio travels the world and evidently has been to Bulgaria and other countries in Eastern Europe and the former USSR as of late. I think he bought most of these during his travels. There are a couple of eBay stores that sell these types of products from that region of the world but Malocchio comes up with many that even these online stores don't sell (at least on the English language eBay, there are foreign language eBay mini-sites that may have some of these but I don't speak Cryllic so they are useless to me).

Oh how I wish this was true !! I would love to travel all over the globe !...these Bulgarian creams and the little rocket soap were part of a trade I made with a fellow shave enthusiast in Bulgaria, although I have previously tried Bulgarian creams I purchased from American vendors (herbs of Bulgaria rose & lavender) and during my travels to Mt. Kilimanjaro (super-max lemon-lime,classic and fresh) You can find these great shaving products if you spend time looking. One good way is to google several languages translation of "shaving products" or " shaving soaps/creams " and then use those translations in your google search....Another way is to watch the locations of posters on the forum,I have made many good trades with fellow members just simply by asking if they were interested in trading some goods from their country for goods from here.Don't forget, stuff we take for granted like aqua velva, bay rum ,and even williams,is highly prized in places where these things are unobtainable. As for bestshave ,I am glad he is carrying the Bulgarian goods,he has really increased his selection, and with free shipping on $50 orders,a hell of a deal.Although bestshave is located in Turkey, his creams are from all over the world, and he has now surpassed desistores.net in selection.
