It's funny, I was in the military for 7 years and have pretty much been clean shaven since then. I just started growing a full beard for the first time ever and it is a different experience. When you're in public and you see all of the clean shaven guys you do feel a little more rugged. I watched the video this morning and as I was in Starbucks I saw a clean shaven dad and his kid and snickered to my self that the kid had two mums. Obviously the dad was probably a great guy but it's just a funny thought.

edit: I've actually been pretty partial to the short hair long beard combination. If I could grow a decent looking beard in a decent amount of time, I would've done so long ago.
