Tuscany or Vienna. Been to both places for a day each and SWMBO and I would love to return.

Spain stands out as my favorite. Been to Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Greece and the Vatican as far as Europe goes. Hopefully I'll be able to go back with the wife soon.

One month in one place? Why?

I love Amalfi, but it limits the number of day trips you can take, so I would opt for something further up the coast, like Monaco. Train is pretty easily accessible and you can take in some nice day long trips in several directions.

For a month I would do Paris. Barcelona is supposed to be nice. Maybe a cool little Greek fishing village?

Paris, Paris, Paris.

If it was just a weekend, then I might say Baden-Baden and go for a spa.

But when all the votes are counted it has to be our own house in the depths of Department 37 and after 4 years of renovation just about habitable!
