What's new

If you had to cull your collection to fit this box

What would you keep?
Here is the box. It holds 7 pens (no more and no less).

If you have less than 7, what would you put in it?

I only have seven non disposable pens, so I guess I am all set! Although that doesn't leave much room for expansion. My current meager collection is:
-Four Rotring Art Pens; one fine, one medium and two 1.5 broad nibs.
-Rotring 600 with a fine nib
-B&B special edition pen with a broad nib
-Pelikin 200 ball point

I'd probably fill it with my Pelikan M200 green marble, M215 black rectangle, M205 demonstrator, and the rest would probably be Parker 51's.

I'd probably use the box to collect spare change and extra cash until I could afford a larger (or an additional) box! :biggrin1:

I have a TWSBI Mini, a Lamy Safari, a Pilot Metropolitan, and a F-C LE B&B #27. I'd try to get a nice Parker 51, a Pelikan of some sort, and a nicer Pilot or a vintage Scheaffer. If I had to give one up for another pen I'd likely take out the Pilot Metropolitan.

The Pilot 78G I own can stay at work, or it's used as enabling material and the Metro takes its place.

Well that's a simple question to answer.

Just get a case of those boxes so that you can go out and get more pens.

Gees.... Do I have to figure everything out for people around here :001_smile

Let's see definitely this one...no that means I have to leave that one out,...Okay these seven....nooooooooooooooooo, the flighter has to come in, okay getting there, where is the Conway and Big Red.... Crap....

Black Carbonesque Pilot Vanishing Point, fine nib
Brown Laminated Celluloid Parker Vacumatic, fine nib (Great-grandmother's pen)
Black Parker 51, fine nib (Great-grandfather's pen)
Olive Franklin-Christoph Model 02 Intrinsic, medium nib
Pelikan M215 Lozenge, medium nib
Edison Pearl, medium stub nib (don't own one yet)
Black with Rhodium trim Sailor Sapporo, medium nib

Luckily, though, my pen case holds 12.

I know I'm doing a self-quote, but it looks like I have acquired a Parker 51 that brianw didn't go for on eBay. So that's one more slot taken in the virtual seven-pen case.

Well I counted, Untill my "new" Pelikan shows up I had to really think about this

Pelikan M205 fine
Mv ID 1.1 Stub
Essential M Italic
Modern Conk Crescent fine
Vintage Parker Vac Medium
Vintage Sheaffer
Vintage Wearever

now it was a tough decision but i had to leave out my nib holders and nibs, then again they wouldnt fit in that box properly anyway

That's easy. I'd keep my two vintage Conklin Crescent fillers, my Eversharp Skyline, Conway Stewart 388, Esterbrook Dollar Pen and the Blue type J, Namiki Falcon...and then I would realize that the whole idea wasn't going to work, and would just buy a larger box.
