What's new

I think I need some help

I hope someone out there can help me out. I'm not that good with the
computer other than being able to get around a bit, but some of the complicated things are just beyond me. Several members have helped me learn quite a bit about using the computer and doing shortcuts etc. Here's what has me stumped this time: I've read posts from other members where they list a site of interest. The site comes up in blue type and all one has to do is click on that listed site and bingo, you're there. I've responded to members questions and have given a site that may be of interest to others, but I don't seem to be able to get the site I mention to highlite. Is there some trick to doing that?, or do I need a special program installed on my computer. I guess what I'm saying is how does one get a site highlited like that so someone else can just click on that site and go to it? Being an older fellow all this technology seems to have passed me by. But I am learning and I'd love to be able to improve my computer use. Its easy for some, but man is there a lot to it. Hope someone can get me going, thanks in advance.

Regards

Paul

When you reply to a past, you should see a world wide web icon called "insert link", where you can post your link into. When completed, it will create a clickable hyperlink. Like this:

http://badgerandblade.com/

This is what the code looks like, with some spaces to break up the code:

[ U R L = "http://badgerandblade.com/" ] http://badgerandblade.com/ [ /URL ]

Eventually, you can get a little fancier and use a clickable text:

Click here to go to Badger & Blade

Which looks like this broke down:

[ URL="http://badgerandblade.com/" ] Click here to go to Badger & Blade [ /URL ]

Thanks for the reply, but I don't see the wwb icon called "Insert Link". Don't mean to sound too dumb, but am I missing it? Or not looking in the right place? Could I trouble you to explain a bit more in detail? Man, this idiot needs help. Thanks again.

It looks like a globe with two links of a chain below it. It should be right in the middle of second row of tools that you see when you're typing a post.
