Requesting completion of the subject line, "I Prefer My Lather's Consistency to Be Like..."
I'm learning to work my soaps (not that I've started using soaps), and can't quite figure out where to be on the "almost like cream" to "watery suds" spectrum. Looking for some simple guidance.

I have been face lathering, but use my scuttle on weekends. Will probably go all scuttle as the cooler weather is here.

I can tell when I hit the lather sweet spot when if does not run off the straight when shaving but washes off easily when rinsing the blade.

If the lather is too thin, it runs down the razor when shaving, if it is too thick there will be deposits of hair and soap near the edge that need wiping.

I want it like Goldie Locks-just right.
