What's new

I haven't shaved since Monday...

...and feel like such a slob w/ this stubble. I haven't been feeling well and didn't feel I had the attention span need to not cut myself so I elected not to shave. Prior to shaving w/ a DE I'd go weeks w/o shaving other than a trim w/ an electric. Over the past three months I've grown so accustomed to having a nice, smooth face that I've become really self conscious about having the stubble. Anyone else freak out when they haven't shaved in a couple of days?

I freak out when I haven't shaved for a day. Even though my stubble growth isn't that much, I too feel like a slob by not shaving.

yeah, but I sometimes skip a day because I know that the shave after having skipped will be sooo sweet (and seems extra close for some reason).

Since using a DE I've found that shaving everyday works really well for me. This does have a flip side. I've been looking for an added reason to try out my Feather blades.

I think it's been about a week since I've shaved.

I prefer to shave, but it makes me look young. I'm 26, and I get carded at the autoparts store because they're not sure if I'm over 18 for certain items. (I think it was fuel injector cleaner the last time)

While I enjoy shaving, and I enjoy the smooth face (as does my fiance), I keep some stubble most of the time just to come closer to looking my age.

Sometimes the weekends get a bit busy and I just don't have the time to shave and I just never seem to bring my stuff to the gym (where I often shower on the weekends). If this is the case, I often really treat myself to a shave on Sunday night with the extra bit of attention to detail.

I can't really get away with missing my daily shave. Sometimes I have to if I'm in a rush in the mornings but the stubble is noticeable, I feel a little unkempt and I usually take the opportunity to shave as soon as I get home. My beard started getting thick around 18 or so and although I disliked running the electric I used then over my face, if I left it more than a couple of days I'd get itchy and the stubble would get tugged out more than cut!

I feel the same way both ways: Whenever I do not shave for more than two days, I feel weird. When I shave after nearly a week, I look at myself as though I am looking at a stranger. That happened to me one time when I was sick, and had finally shaved when I started to feel better. I felt like I did not recognize the person in the mirror.

but the shave when you DO get round to it is the best.. Ive a couple days growth myself that im looking forward to slicing right off

I didn't shave this morning. I didn't feel really stubbly until well about 6 PM.

Right now, I think I can get a 36 hour shave which is pretty good.

But I really cant wait to shave tomorrow!

+1 I know exactly what you mean. Sometimes that little bit of extra stubble seems to make for an extra smooth shave, whereas I've had less smooth shaves going 2 days in a row. Go figure.
