What's new

I have to admit that the Gillette Excel is a decent razor

I am still on the injured list and can only use my left hand, so I bought an Excel razor. I was cutting myself too much using my DE razors. The blades are expensive, but it works and I am not bleeding. I am Man enough to admit it is a good razor. I do miss my DE's but I still use my brush and shave cream.

That's determination! I would probably either stop shaving or use an electric razor until my arm was healed.

I have a heavy beard and shaved with a Sensor Excel for the last 10 years or so. Never had any irritation problems and got pretty reasonable shaves.
As a prodigal son returning to DE shaving, I am still low on learning curve. I get annoying burn on my neck and sometimes a less than smooth shave.
Whenever I am in a hurry I revert to the Sensor.
It still works reasonably well for me.
I'm hoping my technique will improve with the DE to make it the better option for me.
