What's new

I bought some more vintage blades.

I found some more vintage blades at the antique store. Is anyone familiar with these blades, there's 12 packs still in the counter display. I also found that flare tip ss set. Does anyone know which blades came with it and what else is missing? I probably have the blades as i'm always buying vintage blades when I see them but I don't know what goes in the middle.:001_huh:

It looks like this set (photo from mr-razor.com)

Thanks, good job. I doubt that I'll be able to find those 2 cans anywhere to make this set complete.

Vintage blades, vintage blades. I've got a box of 20 sealed packets of Gibbs blades, from vintage French-razor fame Gibbs razors. Haven't a clue what to do with them and have been thinking about tossing 'em. They came as part of a lot. I do plan on having a Gibbs razor one day but I don't need 20 packs.

Noticing in that advert how they spell socks as "sox" too.

Yes, I did notice that. Seemed weird.

I also checked my box again, and think I found the best evidence against it containing a razor. #1, there are no patent numbers on the box anywhere, which every other box has. But #2, the little manual/pamphlet included under the blades has pictures of the blades, the after shave, the deodorant, and the shaving cream, as well as numbered descriptions about them next to the pictures. But not a mention of a razor. If it included a razor, I can't see them NOT putting a paragraph or two about how great of a razor it is.
