I believe I just picked up a President . . .

It looks a little rough visually, but I couldn't pass it up--I had to know if it was indeed what I thought it was!

Seller said it had a Y-3 Code, placing it right there in that 1953 range. The knurling on the handle all looks to be in the style of the President and Diplomat. I'm hopefully getting pics to post here soon.

$56 seems like a fair price for a President though, assuming it cleaned up well. That could have been a decent buy.
