i was wondering if any one here has a humidor jar. and if they do what they think of them

Got one off of the bay for $1 a while back. Worked perfectly. I gave it up for something nicer looking that I can store cigars flat ( supposedly this is better, but who knows). Anyway, it kept great humidity and temp as long as you didn't leave it in the sun. if you find one cheap pick it up.
I don't care for them for long term storage, but for short term they seem fine. I don't like to store cigars standing on their ends because it can cause damage.
If storing them on end is the only issue, would you consider jar humidors a feasible option if you stored the jar on it's side?
It would be feasible as long as it was kept out of direct sunlight if its a clear glass jar. A lot of people have no problems with them, I just don't care for them personally.

i just figure it will be the easiest cheapest way to store like 20 cigars
Tupperware.
Double bagged in ziplocks would be the very cheapest. On trips I used humidor bags with those humipacks that come with some boxes. And as the cigars were smoked they took up less and less space.

I use Lock & Locks (found at Target or Wal-Mart) for my over flow from my cabinet. They seem to have a better seal than Tuppaware but either will work. I have had a jar in the past but found it annoying to try and get shorter sticks out when it was near full. For humidification the best is to get a puck or stick with gel or beads inside as opposed to the green floral foam which comes in most cheap humidifiers. You can usually find them at most cigar shops but my favorite come from the link below
