How will this blade be after restoration?

I love this razor, but don't know if I would lose the etching to clean up the blade? I am a poor judge of hone wear, pitting, rust, etc....

The pitting/devils spit near the edge scares me. But I am not an expert.

The blade didn't seem right. I'm there will be pitting/marks around the etching and possibly some major hone work on the blade depending on the devils split (Never heard that one, I like it!)

Those are hollow ground enough that I wouldn't expect all the pitting to come out.

I concur with the others, that blade will likely never be free of all the pitting / black devil's spit.
