I followed Jim's excellent guide here:
http://wiki.badgerandblade.com/index.php/How_to_mill_any_soap_into_a_container
After milling I used a small wide mouth funnel and pressed the soap in to an empty Mama Bear twist stick. I used a piece of aluminum bar stack to make sure it was packed tightly.
Cut a short length (say around 100 mm) of pvc, aluminum or steel tube with about a 25 - 30mm diameter.
Grate your soap, then holding the tube upright against a smooth hard surface, feed the soap shavings into the top. Press down as much as you can to make room for more soap. When you have fed in the desired amount, insert a plunger which just fits inside the tube (a length of broom handle or even an old mechanics socket of the right diameter fitted to an extension shaft is fine). Tap the plunger down into the tube using a mallet or hammer to compress the soap. When fully compressed, invert the tube and tap the end of the plunger against the ground and your soap stick will slowly come out of the tube like a sausage out of a sausage machine. Trim the ends with a sharp knife to tidy up its appearance and voila! - your D.I.Y soap stick is complete.
Well that all sounds like pure hassle lol.Ive got an empty ogalla shaves stick container, could i not just melt the soap in the microwave then pour it in?
