How many tins of 'bacci going at once?

I am due to get a shipment of delightful tobacco products in the mail. If I remember correctly, I think I have 8 or so flavors coming in thumbup and I am very excited to dive in.

This got me thinking. I have never had more than 3 kinds of tobacco at one time on hand, and I usually have all 3 going at the same time, as they are usually 1.5 ounce pouches of drugstore brands. But I will have the two pouches I have now (Half & Half and Carter Hall) open, plus all the new loot.

I know I will want to open and sample everything. It will take a long time to smoke through it all though... should I hold off on opening some of them and open a couple at a time? If I open them all for samples when they come in, will some go bad if I don't get around to smoking them for a while? How many flavors do you guys usually have working at any given time?

Thanks for the input, just want to be sure my rookie excitement doesn't cost me by ruining some 'bacci down the road.

Nah, just get mason jars and label them. If sealed well theyll keep for a long time and you can smoke what you want when you want. Thats what I do

I have Frog Morton and Sherlock Holmes open but the SH is in a jar cellaring. I have a few different blends in a bag but I'm going through them fast. If not I'll put them in more mason jars.

Two days ago I had 13 different blends opened. I'm fairly new and had been sampling EVERYTHING, lol.

So I said, NO! NO MORE! Finish something before you open another one!

Then my free Altadis sample came in, a tin of Molto Dolce, which just seemed... interesting. Then when I jarred it and put it away I saw a tin of HH Berry Nice and said, well, might as well try it...

Now I have 15 jars.

So shameful.

Actually just realized I finished an open Nightcap yesterday (well, enough left for maybe my MM Pony) so I guess I have 14 open.

Still so shameful, lol.

Well, good to see I can just dive in to it all. I am pretty sure I will try every flavor when the delivery arrives. I'll definitely need to look into getting some mason jars too. Funny because I told the wife once this delivery arrives I most likely won't need to buy anything else for a long time. Looks like 'a long time' translates to 'that same day'!

Looks like I am smoking out of 12 jars and one tub of PA right now. I buy a lot of bulk so that is not at all unusual for me. The jars are the ticket.

+1 tomorrow before work I'm going to buy a bunch of jars so I can jar the last of my bulk tobacco.

Absolutely. Mason jars (get the wide mouth ones) are the way to go. Half-pint jars are good for 50g tins, pint-sized are perfect for 100g.
