You guys complain about not having Saturday postal service ... up in Canada we complain about not having postal service period.

Awww, i hate when they cross your package at the other coast, so much faster when it moves on USPS and crosses closer to your own end of things, for Ontario to BC, I would say wednesday next week, but there will be a customs tag, and it wont be your first notice, but your final notice, and it will be sent to the far away office instead of the one right close to you, the one that shuts early on the weekdays and doesnt open on saturday

Glad im not the only one !, not to mention the $10 dollar custom fee that is now follwed with a $10 or $20 dollar "handling" fee, i forget which one, always a pleasure to see then on on a 5 dollar item you already spend 10 dollars shipping on

Fridays are Fishtastic!
I got an order of ink from WCS in two days. What's with the Canadian Postal Service, eh?
In my experience it is customs. I used to work for a company based in the Netherlands and bought simulators from a Canadian company. Packages from the Netherlands routinely arrived in half the time.

that wouldnt be customs though, as it would run through US customs as would the Netherlands packages, believe me Can Post is something else to deal with. but Can Customs isn't fun either

I rarely shop in the states anymore for that very reason. There's is something about the 'yank' handshake that adds two weeks to anything. Canada Post is fine when I order from France, UK or Asia. Stuck in customs is my guess.

Canada Post sounds like an absolute nightmare. In fact, it sounds just like all my experiences with Royal Mail.

yeah well come to the other side of the world. Goulet postage is about $18 minimum and takes 2-3 weeks to arrive. I still buy from them because they are great people!

It works the reverse, also. Some time ago I won a SE razor on eBay and the individual shipped it the next day by standard mail. It took more than three weeks for my razor to arrive. In contrast, items sent from the U.K. arrive in a week.

The package arrived today.

(They actually tried to deliver on Friday, but I was out and not able to pay the $33 COD for customs and handling.)
