How Long Does Your Aftershave Last?

Hi All,

I'm wondering how long does a bottle of aftershave (100ml) lasts for you folks. I'm finding that a bottle lasts about 3 months for me. How about you guys?

I use a few, vary it from day to day. Also some I seem to use a bit more than others. For example, Trumpers Wild Fern, you only need a few drops, while Brut, you can use a good palmful.

Depending on the AS I would guess 3-4 months, if used daily on average. I do like a good bit of AS splash or balm each day, but some are more potent than others and then I also rotate.

Pretty much a lifetime. I am rotating 8 aftershaves right now, and they all get a little game time. And since I use very little, some days wearing a cologne instead of an aftershave, they tend to have a long lifespan with me, or so it seems so far. And the amount of AV blue, musk, and green sport I have is enough to supply me through the afterlife, I think.

In all honesty though, if I used one aftershave, I would say a bottle would last maybe 5 months for me, assuming daily use.

A palmful of Brut? Seems like a lot to me. I use a scant amount about the size if a dime in my bunch palm and I have caught whiffs near the end of an 8 hour work day.

Though, body chemistry does come into play. Perhaps mine requires less Brut for it to work effectively.

Anywhere from six months to a year for 100mL. I don't use that much and I rotate six or seven fragrances.

Over 13 hours on, I can still catch a whiff of the Alt-Innsbruck I put on this morning. I work in an office with a good HVAC, and I don't sweat much, either. I would think that has something to do with it.

Maybe I exaggerate a little. But say, a decent teaspoonful or just over.

I've almost got through a bottle of Proraso in about 3 months with almost daily use, liberally applied.

I've the Monster Truck size of Tabac too, and it's almost as unkillable as the soap.

Just got some Musgo, and the stingy dropper will see this one run for a long time. If I can stop using it - amazing stuff.

I have a strict rotation of 7-9 aftershaves based on the season. I apply twice in the morning and once more after lunch. As such, I use about 50ml/bottle/year. So, doing a little math, over the course of a year, I use up about four 100ml bottles/year.

Don't know how much you guys apply each time but 100 ml will last me about 6 months.

As a 59 year old guy with the equivalent of 45 100ml bottles of AS splash, I might be set. Yet tomorrow I'll again eyeball a bottle of Chisled Face AS for purchase...

My rotation is so huge, I don't think I've ever finished a bottle, LOL.

Does aftershaves with alcohol or without have an expiration date ? Can I use a 5 year old AS ?
I use vintage aftershave that is 40-50 years old.

I have been buying balms since converting to DE early this year. I stretch a little bit a long way, typically using 2 drops to a small dollop. I have a few in rotation, partly by way of having two away-from-home kits. I am yet to run out of any of them.

Hard to say, because I have multiple aftershaves open at once.

But I do use Witch Hazel after every shave, and splash it on very liberally. A bottle of generic Witch Hazel only gets me through about three weeks...
