How frequently do you get a bum blade?

I'm not talking about trying out several brands of blades and encountering bad ones that you don't like. What I'm asking is, once you've found a brand or brands you like and buy a supply of them, how frequently do you come across a bum blade in your supply of favorite blades?

Never ever had a bum blade for my brand of brands of de blades. Sometimes I wonder if people are looking for that pinging and knocking sound to their car engine? I am not saying duds DO NOT happen but there is so much complaining about products in here.

Out of the 300 Astra SP's I have used so far I have only gotten one bad blade. That's a pretty good ratio so far. It seems that I was getting bad Feathers in every pack...

I was wondering because I put a 7 O'Clock yellow in my Cadet and had a pretty bad experience with it when this brand performed excellent in both my slant and in my Fatip. (four shaves then toss the blade) I thought it was the razor so I put the same blade in my slant and the experience wasn't much better. I'm thinking it was a bum blade. I think I'll have to pitch it and try another to see what happens. I was thinking that the chance of a bum blade would be pretty low.

I've had a couple bad 7 O'clock Blacks and a bad Lab. Med Preps are the only 100% blade so far - but others have experienced bad blades with them as well.

It may just be the price of doing business with such cheap blades - but that also means it cost virtually nothing to throw one away. I guess the trick is to notice before it does any damage.

I pitched the bum 7 O'Clock yellow and put a new one in my Cadet and got an excellent shave. I'm glad to find that it was the blade and not the razor. I was just surprised because I hadn't encountered a bad blade before this. I have about 60 yellows and this was the first box I opened.

I pulled out a blade a while ago and it had a big notch/nick in it. that is the only one I have come across.

Luckily the nick/notch was large enough to see so I did not use the blade

Can't recall having one. The blades I've used extensively (Feather, Med Prep, SI, and Shark) have been of consistent quality.

I have not had a bad blade. I started DE shaving in 9/2012

I may have gotten one or two bad Shark Super Chromes in over 200, but the Derbys I'm trying to use up aren't as good as the last 100 I used. I tend to only use my Long Handle Black Beauty on setting 5.
