How Do You Use Kiss My Face?

I used Kiss My Face Moisturizing Shave for the first time today. It was nice, but it seemed to dry up and disappear off my neck. Any suggestions?

I use the KMF Lavender-Shea cream, and it works great for me. Sometimes I use it by itself, but more often than not, I will mix it with L'Occ Cade to make an awesome SuperLather.

If its drying out on your face, just add more water, either to the original mix, or keep hydrating the lather on your face as you shave. Just dip your brush in a little hot water and swish it around a few times before applying the blade.

I used the Cool Mint one for about a year and a half (on and off). Was always an excellent shave. Loved it - just trying out others now or I would use it nonstop.

Always used a brush and it was an excellent lather - lots of water like the others said. I did seem to think it worked a bit better with the painting on method in the end (maybe build it on scrubbing but smooth it all out in the end with painter strokes).

Fortunately for me I never thought it led to drying my face out. Always followed up with cold water rinses and then witch hazel. I use jojoba oil and sunscreen together as my moisturizer anyway so I guess I wouldn't have noticed if it did dry it out.

KMF or at least what I have is a "brushless" cream. I do my normal face prep by washing my face and then use a warm wet wash cloth. I then simply take a pump of it or even two and rub in on my face. No brush needed and shave WTG. Rinse, reapply the KMF and do another pass. Try it without the brush, it works well. This stuff does not really lather well, it makes a layer of slick on your face instead.

Lathers great when you use a brush.

Hmmm, I may have to try it with a brush. I just followed the directions and when I got my free sample of it the company told me to use it brushless, so I never tried it with a brush. :)

Works great with a brush. Made enough lather with the lavendar and shea today for my face and noggin and still had some leftover in the bowl.

ive found that with KMF it requires a lot of water... a lot more than you'd think you would need.

so. keep adding water and when you think its good enough, add more water.

+1

It is one of the easiest to lather creams when used with a brush, and creates huge amounts of wonderful lather.

The instructions on a product, are not always the best way to use the product, they are the recommendations for how to use a product for the majority of the companies customers. KMF knows most of their customers are not likely to have a brush, so they don't bother mentioning that you can use it with a brush.

C.O. Bigelow indicates it can be used without a brush, but the results are pretty dismissal in my opinion.

I use KMF in a mug with a brush and it whips up just fine. I wet my brush and swish around the mug before each pass. I have also used it brushless and it works well also. It does like some water whatever the method.

+2 or 3 on the adding water. In my scuttle, it will sometimes "disappear." I add water and whip a little and boom, the lather returns. I like/need a wet lather and KMF does take more water than the soaps and COB cream I use.

+1 on brush and more water, KMF loves them both. I've always gotten a wonderful slick lather that rivals Trumper's and T&H creams.

The consensus is it takes a LOT of water, more than you'd use for anything else. I have yet to get a decent shave out of the stuff in my 3 or 4 tries. I'll keep at it though...Someday
