How do you spot a replace job?

Do you mean how do you know when the scales aren’t original?

Doesn’t mean it a goof job though.

The pins are the easiest give away. Usually stock pins are only truly peened on one side.

What I mean is how do you know or not know some vintage razor is not NIB, NOS, Preserved well with little use, or has been. Disassembled, Tuned, and Replated?

I think Mr. Iguana here posted this in restorations and didn't realise it was a sub forum of the straight section. I am pretty sure he is vintage DE user. I have bought a couple "NOS" DE razors that were not, but I didn't get scammed out of too much money.
