How do you kill a Luminox

Easy...

You have keep putting off replacing a SS bracelet link pin

You roll down the window on a nice day and tap your arm on the window while listening to the music

You drive 75mph on I-795 N

You learn a valuable lesson about procrastination.

Incidentally, it was still ticking and pushing the large chunk of crystal with the second hand. After eight years of hard wear I finally killed it...

I had mine on a couple of years ago while mowing. Something happened with the bracelet and it broke and slid off into one of the deck drive belts. I immediately stopped and found all the pieces in good shape. A jeweler replaced the pin that had broken and I wore it for a couple of more years until it broke again. Apparently the pins are very small and fragile. I think I am going to have a nice leather band to replace the bracelet.

My rubber strap on mine broke after a year of ownership. I replaced it and it's still working. The pin that holds the strap to the case broke once on a fishing trip. Thankfully I found it, as I didn't feel it fall off.

Sounds as if this brand has some serious strap problems.

It can happen with all brands. A pin fell out of my Omega bracelet after years of use. Fortunately I was sitting at a desk at the time, and it didn't fall far.

This is why God invented Maratac straps.
