How do you clean a DE razor?

I have a Merkur stainless steel futur adjustable DE razor and love it. My question is, how do I clean all of the shaving cream/water off of the razor and razor head? This is what I have :

Me too! If the soap film is kinda thick I'll use a little toothpaste. Just rinse well.

I use a toothbrush and dishwasher soap.

Not sure if that has a satin finish on it or not, which may change cleaning instructions a bit. But for all of my nickle/chrome plated Stainless razors I use a scrubbing bubbles rip-off that I found lying around my house, and I know it takes even pretty built up soap scum off of my newer razors. For cleaning older de's with a lot of grime and all that that I've recieved second hand, I alternate between hot water soaks, soaks in the scrubbing bubbles, and scrubbing with a toothbrush. I've gotten old razors to shine pretty good with that minimal effort.
