how are baxter brushes?

I was planning on getting the baxter of california 1-2-3 shaving kit, it comes with a brush, shave cream and after shave.

But I have been hearing great things about omega and it is alot cheaper, is the baxter worth the extra money?

I don't know anything about baxter brushes except that they are certainly re-brands from someone. Omegas are excellent brushes, there are also great entry-level Simpson brushes, and Edwin Jagger makes nice ones too. There are lots out there.

Baxter brushes are likely going to be similar to Edwin Jagger and Muhle brushes, the same company makes them.

I picked up the 1 2 3 set and the brush is from Muhle. Its a very good brush.
