Hot towels?

How do you guys get your towels warm before you use them? and is it worth having a go at this myself in my prep?

Most folks use the microwave as I gather, a genuine towel steamer is harder to come by these days.

Having said that, it's just too much extra work for me, I skip it.

My tap water get pretty hot, so I just use that. They are pretty hard to handle as it is. I can't imagine getting a towel any hotter.

That's all I do, too.....soak the towel in hot water, wring it out, and away you go!

+1 ..... most of the time, I do it 3 or 4 times before I start "to lather"... my shave did improve a lot, since I uses this as a "prep".... :thumbup1::thumbup1::thumbup1:

I do the same... when the towel's on my face I usually watch a little TV til it cools, then re-wet my face with hot water and get down to business.

I only use hot towels on the weekend though, when I have more time.

I do it three times--at prep time, after first pass and after third (and last) pass. I completely immerse hand towel in hot water (at sink) and wring it (make sure towel remains wet but not dripping). I also lather my face lightly each time before applying hot towel. Each application lasts for 90 seconds to 2 minutes. I have an extremely hard beard. This process softens it big time! I use hot towel after third and last pass but this time I do not lather my face before applying hot towel. While your face is moist, apply after shave. :a39:

Hot water from my tap, it is so hot, I have to be careful not to burn myself.
