Anyone know who made razors for Hoffritz? I know some of their brushes where made by Simpons. I recently found this mint 13/16 Barbers King. There is no writing on the back of the tang. Just Hoffritz NY made in germany on the front. Any ideas?

Don't know. First honing tonight. It took a wicked edge though.

Yeah that's a pleasent surprise. It is probably the nicest razor I have ever found. I have done nothing to it and it has the original leather box.

Nice find. I had one a while ago and it was also a great shaver. I've only ever seen them in largish blades.

Great razor, I had two of them, one huge chopper with an even huger chip that I honed out and rescaled - it's now my big bros first straight - takes a wicked edge and rocks in at about 6/8 now. The other is in my to do box of blades and has seen a bit of use, looks like it was a similar size to yours originally but the gold wash has gone. I only shaved a couple of times with the other but loved it, for a big blade it was easy to wield. Great find!

Yeah a 6/8-13/16 is my sweet spot which makes me even happier with this one. Thanks for the compliments. I am going to shave with it tonight.
Hope you had a great shave with that beautiful razor last night. Me thinks I see some custom scales in the near future. Not too many blades with that type of side jimping as far as I have seen. I would have guessed Gotta because that's the only other razor I've seen with that type of jimps. Greybeard is a virtual encyclopedia of razor info. Congrats on a very nice razor find!

I like the scales on it. I would rescale it if i could find someone to laser etch the barbers king logo back in the scales. And yes it was a great shave last night.
