Hobie Kayaks Mirage Angler

I don't own one but one of my neighbors does. I was walking my dog a few months ago when I saw him washing down the kayak. He had been fishing for redfish and being a fishing fanatic I got into a conversation with him. I admired his kayak and he explained how it worked and how much he liked it. He said the kayak was very stable and he could stand in it if the water was not rough and that by "paddling" with his legs he had perfect control over the kayak. Plus, he said it took very little effort to paddle.

I later looked online and saw that it would cost $3,000 and lost all interest in it.

I don't have a Pro Angler, but I have the Outback, one size down. IMO, it is worth the money, depending on what type of fishing you plan on doing. I got mine to fish in Mobile Bay, some of the rivers in the Delta and on a good day, the Gulf of Mexico. If you watch Craigslist and look for a local kayak fishing forum, you can usually find good deals on used Hobies.

Wow, those are really cool, but they sure are proud of them  I have never seen anything like that "MirageDrive" before...pretty cool!
