Just when I thought I REALLY was over the whole brush buying thing...THIS rears up out of nowhere.


Anyone familiar with "El Druida"?? Wow is all I can say..............

Never heard of that brand, but gorgeous handle! I'm assuming it's a foreign company, but how big are they? Established brand or small artisan business?

I love the "doorknob" style. I actually have one that looks very similar. Very comfy in the hand. Here's a pic if you're interested.

Ha...I wish. No I just saw a reference to this guy in Spain and Googled out his website. An eMail later advised he cannot make that particular handle either "at all" or not in the stained Olive wood he is showing here. Said he was gonna pull the picture off the site...pity. Anyway (his English is alright but not great) seems a silvertip brush similar to that (probably in a smaller knot) would be $125 USD shipped in a wood similar to Red Heart (with which I am not at all familiar). One never knows..Christmas is coming. I also wonder if one of the well known American artisans could make a handle like that? Hmmmmmmm..........

Just checked the review on that other site...looks to be that this fellow is the real deal. Seems he includes a handmade stand with his brushes. The packaging is even exquisite. Once I decide what kind of knot I want, maybe..just maybe...
