Here's all you need to fix your hair in the morning folks

My hair naturally falls into place so I don't put anything in it at all. However I think double fisting the brushes is awesome.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

I don't think I can even imagine how ridiculous my hair would look if I even used one of those products. :w00t:

Talk about YMMV!

Gives me the classic business men's "Don Draper" look. This pomade keeps my hair perfect and natural looking all day and washes out easily.

Good choices. I prefer the stiffer black boar bristle brushes like the ones in your photo to the natural white boar bristle brushes for my hair when using pomade.

American Crew Pomade used to be my product of choice. I have thick, unruly hair. But I now use TIGI Curls Rock and I find it to work better for me. But that Pomade is great stuff.

Here's all I need:

Perhaps a very very small dab of this while my hair is still soaking wet:

And one of these:

Take that 3-row comb/brush and comb my hair back while it is still soaking wet (the only time my hair is combing back). Then shake my head like a dog---really hard--in the bathtub. Let it dry and the curls and ringlets do their own thing. Perfect! Now, it it gets messy (it usually does) I have to do that all over again---or wear a hat.

...recently Don Draper did the same technique in "Mad Men." Give it a try!
Interesting, I don't remember that, but I'd like to see it. I haven't seen the last two episodes, was it in one of them? If not, do you recall what season/episode it was?

Thanks,

sleepy

What if I told you that for less money you can get a better water based pomade?

suavecito/suavecito firme(holds like a ****)

layrite/layrite super hold(super hold is strong but not as strong as 'firme')

and both smell better than alcohol emanating from your head

I really like the Paul Mitchell Reformer texturizer instead of a pomade not to mention it smells fantastic. Otherwise that is a fantastic setup.

I have thick, wavy/curly hair. Nowadays I just scrunch it up when I get out of the shower and let it lay naturally and curl, but up until about a year ago I used pomade (Brylcreem or Suave Groom&Clean) daily, with a Kent military oval brush like the OP's. Those brushes are phenomenal for getting hair to behave how you want it to. Can't say enough good about them. My hair doesn't like to curl unless it's got a wee bit of oil in it though, so if it's *too* clean out of the shower, I'll still use a touch of the Brylcreem to help it along.

I have purchased and sampled more products than I care to think of over the past 18 years since high school! In the end; I found nothing that even comes close to Kevin Murphy products; Night Rider in particular was the most suited for my own personal needs.
