Henckles Restore

Here is a quick restore. The catch was, I only had an hour to do it before having to do something, so I challenged myself to bust it out. I unpinned, and traced the blade out to make my new scales, then I ran the blade through some polishes. After the blade was done, I cut the scales out, sanded them and polished them. I pinned it together with Stainless washers and nickle silver rod. The original scales were a three pin, I had never done that before, but I had a few minutes to spare, so I went for it!! All in all I came in right at 55min from start to finish! Hope you guys like it!

That's down right impressive.

Thank you!

Sweet. My kind of classy scales.

Ha, I knew youd like these scales Mark! And to be honest, I like them too. I always go for bigger scales, but I like the way these turned out! You may see some simpler things from me soon!

That is very tasteful. Beautiful lines. Those scales make that razor almost irresistible!

Thanks a lot man! I like this one quite a bit myself!

This is nothing short of pure beauty... Amazing :thumbup1:

Perfection and super-fast perfection...well done!

Impressive! Love the design, seems very true to the lines of the original razor.

Amazing work Nerdman.

No before pictures? Nice work!!

Thanks!

Luc, unfortunately being in a hurry, i totaly forgot to take pics, the scales were very stained, and had a few hairline cracks in them, it was faster for me to make new ones as opposed to fixing the old ones. The blade itself was in good shape, it just had the usuall small rust spots and stains. But it cleaned up very quickly and nicely. It didnt even need greaseless, I just ran it thru 3 diffrent rouges!

Thanks again guys! Im glad you guys like looking at my restores

One of my favourite restores was a time trial too. I think mine took more than an hour though! Well done.
