Has anyone heard of this razor? I've seen a lot of 50 1/2s, but never a 50. To be honest I really don't understand the logic of the Henckels numbering system.
I have only seen 50 1/2 marked razors. A model 50 very well may exist. I believe the 1/2 refers to 1/2 hollow ground for the grind. I own a Henckels Friodur 50 1/2 and it is a 1/2 hollow grind razor. I hope this helps.
Your case is certainly in much better shape than mine. I've seen the Henckels aging system in the wiki, but do you have any clue how old these guys are? Mine gives a phenomenal shave btw
I just signed up here but I have been reading the posts on this site for several days now... I have 2 J.A. Henckels, one is a #50 and the other is a #451 5/8 here are some photos of them.... Both need to be honed as they are not shave ready.
