Henckels #50 in Wenge

Had this 5/8 Henckels razor restored by Ray "Ray-man".

The photos are his as I am currently without camera. I think the pictures are a little bright as the wood looks quite a bit darker in person.

Ray was great to work with and put an amazing edge on the razor using a coticule. Must say it is currently one of the smoothest shavers I have ever used.

Ray does great work. He's rescaled two of mine and is working on a third. I love the edge he puts on a blade.

I'm not sure yet (due to inexperience) if it's the steel or the honing method (he uses a coti) but I have not had a smoother shave with any other straight so far. I did use this straight a few times before Ray did his magic but it was at least a couple months ago and my technique was nowhere near where it is today. All of my other straights feel kind of "scratchy" in comparison. I think I'm going to send the others to Ray for rehoning and see if I can figure this out.
