Help with questions I can't figure out

Total newb here. I've been surfing and searching trying to learn as much as possible. I have some questions I can't find the answers to;

1) What does TTO mean?

2) What does PIF mean?

3) Are Gillette Techs and Super Speeds nickel plated or stainless steel or what? (I know some had aluminum handles).

4) Are some Tech gold plated?

Thanks!

1) TTO means turn to open. Its the butterfly mechanism on a lot Gillette's
2) PIF = Pay it forward
3) Most Gillette razors such as the super speed and tech are nickel plated brass. A few models will be gold, silver, or rhodium plated.
4) Yes

IIRC, the only American Gillette's finished in rhodium from the factory were the Executive (the whole razor) and the President (only the head was rhodium). Gillette used rhodium mostly on their high end British models as noted above. Someone correct me if I am wrong as I am a little tired...

I think on the President, the handle was rhodium plated and the head was "double" plated in nickel..... so it is a brighter and smoother appearance compared to regular nickel. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.... I'm not tired but I may have my facts mixed up in my head. :blush:
