Help with choice

Hi
I am looking to get a better DE razor. Currently using a shaving factory butterfly opening one but not that good. I did have a Merkur Futur until a while ago when it got left in a hotel and not been able to afford another one since. I also have a 1904 classic but that seems to cut my face to shreds when I use it. I'm looking at something like Merkur 33C, Parker 80R or the Jagger D89. Any advice or experience with these.

Ive recently started to DE shave my first one was a wilkinson sword classic,
But now ive decided to get something better
Just ordered a DE89 from amazon should be here this week
Maybe look at one of them they seem quality made And heard nothing but good reviews about it

A Gillette adjustable would be closer to the shave of your abandoned razor.

Not sure what kind of shave you are looking for but I find the EJ 89 to be one of the better all around razors I have used.

+1. Agree. Why not look for a slim?
On the other hand, the Merkur Progress is a good selection, too.
