Help with blisters please

Folks,

My primary form of exercise is walking. I try to walk 6 days a week for about 60-90 minutes at a very brisk pace. Unfortunately I have a recurring ?injury?... I always get a blister on the ball of my foot, (which requires time to heal). I have now bought three pairs of quality shoes which are super comfortable in the store, (walking shoes 'Nike', running shoes 'Adidas', and cross trainers Adidas'), tried several different types of socks, two socks, no socks, nylons (no judging here), but to no avail. I only get them when I 'push it' though. If I walk at a moderate pace, no issues at all. Unfortunately this is not a new problem, it has been going on for the better part of a year now. I would have thought a good callous would have formed to protect me, but no such luck there either.

Please, any help would be more than welcome!
 
Most blisters are created from heat. Feet blisters are usually caused from the heat of friction at the point where the skin is moving or rubbing against some part of the shoe. The smallest movement will create friction and consequently a blister.

It almost sounds like the shoe is loose on the injured foot, or getting loose as you walk.

If you are absolutely convinced you have the best possible fit, and are wearing one quality sock then, as a last resort, you can apply a piece of moleskin to the skin wear the blister usually forms.
 
I'm a runner, and I have two recommendations that ended my blisters forever (assuming that you've been correctly fitted by a quality shoe store):

1) I only use Thorlo socks, and use no liner sock. They were designed by someone with a blister problem to eliminate them, and they worked for me.

2) Body Glide--a product used by runners to stop friction wherever it happens. If you can find it, Gold Bond Friction Defense is a similar product which costs less than Body Glide and works as well (at least for me).
 
Can I ask where the blisters occur? If its on the medial (big toe) side of your foot, that could signal that you over pronate your foot while walking and might be a good candidate for orthotics. Have you talked to a podiatrist?

The blisters form right on the bottom of the foot (behind the ball and in front of the sole). It almost feels that when I am exerting force in my step, the skin on the bottom of my foot folds causing a pinch. No, I have not talked to a podiatrist (yet).
