Help me identify these two Gillette Tech

Hello! I recently got a pair of Gillette's and I found out they are "Ball End Tech" but I can't seem to identify their production year.
One of them is a USA made and came in this plastic case:

And the other one is British made, almost identical to the bottom one:

This one doesn't have patent. Here is a picture of the two:

I know they're both Tech, but I'd really like to know their year of production. I could be wrong, but I think the USA one could have been made right before USA joined the WW2?
I really hope you guys can help me with this!

Greetings!

You have two really nice shaving razors there. :)

For #1 - no date code and oval slots means somewhere in the years 1946-50.

That is also my understanding. Am I correct, though, that the Post-war NDC with oval lather slots should have a Fat Handle instead of the Ball End Handle?

Definitely one of my favorite Techs, the handle notwithstanding.

For #2 -I'm thinking that looks like an English flat bottom Tech with the extra slots in the base plate. A very nice-shaving razor. Not sure on the year.

It certainly is an English Flat Bottom Tech. Another one of my favorite Techs. :)

As with the Post-war oval lather slot, the English Flat Bottom Tech also came with the Fat Handle (at least one had a Slim Handle) but not the Ball End Handle.

Hope this helps.

It isn't all that easy to figure out exact dates of manufacture for Techs, generally speaking. The first one, as has been mentioned, is a post-war Tech, not a pre-war. I agree with the 1946-1950 estimate.

The second one is a British flat-bottom Tech. A good shaver and a bit less common. No idea of the date.

Enjoy!
