Help for a Simpson brush

I like my travel brush, the Case (Best) and would like to try a brush maybe a tiny bit bigger and with some more backbone. So I got me a pristine 2-band Tulip 2 froma kind member.
Looks marvelous but there was lather all over (I'm a face latherer using sticks) and not so much lather left in the brush as I was used to with the Case.
I'm leaning towards the Duke 1 in Best. Will that brush fit my needs? Any thoughts?

I think it will. I owned a pre-Vulfix Duke 1 and it was an excellent travel brush. I finally sold it as I rarely travel and have enough other brushes to rotate while at home. It stored easily in a large pill bottle when I traveled, face-lathered soaps and creams well, and created enough lather for my 3 pass shaves.

Here's a picture of it next to my PJ2.

I love my Duke 2 in Best. Very dense and scrubby with a nice fan-shaped loft. I'd recommend it to anyone!

I had a Duke 1 and sold it because I wanted something a little smaller, the Case. If you find the Case a little too small, I heartily recommend the Duke 1 rather than taking a larger step.

It really is like a larger, stiffer, Case.

Thanks to all, I think I will take the smallest step upwards and replace the 2-band T2 with the Duke 1
