Headshavers - The Back of the Head

Hey All!

I was curious to find out what other headshavers did for the back of the head. I'm a "follow the fingers" style shaver myself. Ever since I started head shaving I found that to be the easiest way for me to both find and shave the hair back there. Anyone use different methods? Anyone special enough to have double-mirrors so they can actually see what they do?? :)

Cheers,

M.

Like you, I go by feel. I start at my neck and head north, against the grain. When done, I go across the grain. Then I do touch-up. Works for me. :001_smile

I have a small mirror mounted to my wall that is on a hinge and can swing out in front of my actual bathroom mirror. I use this to look at the back of my head while shaving. I use the follow the finger method to touch up the back of my bead

I don't seem to think about it too much. I only use touch to find out which places need a touch up, other than that I just follow how much lather is coming off with each stroke and then work my way round.

N-S, middle to ear then S-N. then I rinse my head, rub/feel for missed spots. Apply a thin layer of lather and stretch my skin by putting my chin to my chest and using my opposite hand to stretch it upwards a bit.

At the sink here with cold tap water. Makes for a much more comfortable experience IMO. Less irritation and better glide due to skin being closed or tight.
