Weird, I never heard of this but it's all over, so apparently this isn't so secret. I wonder why there isn't more information than I found (unless I'm just missing anything but forums).
Seems like the zinc in it is what helps. I wonder if the rest of the ingredients in the shampoo are helpful though, and I don't know anything with just the zinc in it (pyrithian zinc, sp?).
Although either way, this sounds pretty cheap for what it does, there are generic brands to make this a very cheap option.
The one thing I got from reading the forums is that it was drying, and probably too drying for the face, although people spoke about using it on their neck. I think there's a regular and extra strength, so you can see what helps your skin more.
I was wondering about the 2-in-1 with conditioner. I saw someone say that was better because the conditioner was moisturizing. I just would think it would be counter productive to drying out the acne, but I really don't know much about this stuff.
It gets tons of great reviews, I'm not sure why they don't create a product with just the zinc. Sounds like it would be a good business idea for head and shoulders.
H&S is great for a lot of minor skin problems. Seborrheic Dermatitis, for instance. Psoriasis, if it isn't too bad. Great stuff, and cheap as dirt. A good thing to try before you buy a bunch of expensive crap, or consult a dermatologist.
Another thing H & S is great for is yeast infections. Don't ask...
Oh all right, it was my doctor that recommended it to me when I had a bout of it after using antibiotics for an ear infection a couple of years ago. It worked great!
