Harsh razors Vs. Mild - Gettting cut still!

So I shave 2 ways, with a straight razor or with my EJ 89DE mounted on a bulldog handle.
So yesterday I decided with 4 day growth to shave with a gillette tuckaway which is an open comb.
Showered, used Proraso and put in a feather blade because that is what I use on the EJ.
With the grain I felt the razor more than I did with the EJ that's for sure it did great. XTG and ATG I ended up with small bloody spots all over my neck and chin.

This doesn't happen with my straight. I have been shaving for a while now and although this shave went 10Xs better than when I first got the tuckaway. I feel like perhaps I can't use any DE other that the EJ.

What do you guys think?

When I use my OC I use a milder blade like the Astra SP. Have you tried a milder blade in the Tuckaway?

+1 I found the combo of the tuckaway head and feathers to be a bit too unforgiving. I usually pop in a Gillette 7o'clock blue, personna lab, or voskhod for that DE.

I have astra and personas I guess I can try. I want to wait till I have a 4 day growth and then compare.

I'll tell you what though, for me nothing beats the EJ with the feathers. But since the tuckaway is such a cool little razor I'll give it a shot. Thanks
