hardwater stains on badger hair

So I have very hard water and I had to install one of those whole house water softener/filters. The kind that you have to add salt pellets to. Now once I installed it I had no problems with my water at all. At some point within the last couple of days, the circuit was tripped and the filter cut off. I didn't realize it and I did some laundry and shaved with my badger brush. The water stained a couple of my undershirts and my brush. I am not worried about my shirts but I really like my brush. Is there a way to take the stain out of the badger hair? Thanks for any tips.

You might want to try a product that Ben74 directed me to. It is called MAC Brush Cleaner and it is designed for cosmetic brushes that get stained and gunked up by makeup. Those brushes are mink, sable, fox, squirrel and badger so the product although a little expensive is designed to safely clean natural haired brushes. That may work, but I have never run across this condition before.

You can order it directly from the manufacturer to get the lowest price.

Use it as you would a shampoo. Pour a little bit on the brush, enough to get it fully soaked, and rub it in gently with your hands.

You can also stand the brush in a small cup if you need to. I use a Dixie cup and put the brush in and then pour enough in to reach the handle.

Good fortune.
