Handicapped Shavers

I find it difficult to stand for long. Is there anyone who sits down while shaving? Are the extend-a-mirrors any good? I used to shave in the shower with my electric to cut down on this along with other *** razor problems.

Hi. I'm handicapped as well (cerebral palsy). I don't have as much trouble standing as you seem to have, but when I shave I'm on my knees at the sink. My bathroom has two layers of padding under a very plush rug, so this is simple and comfortable for me. But when I was in college, I shaved while sitting in my wheelchair. I did the same thing as I do now: I place one of those circular free-stand mirrors on the sink and use that.

One of those make-up mirrors that women use works for me as well. Nice and large and opens up triptych-style. I used one of those when I was just starting. I can't comment on the extendable mirrors since I've never used one.

I sit on a stool in the shower when I shave, using a suction-cup mounted mirror (got it off Amazon a long time ago)..just makes things more stable. I've got a bad knee from an injury I got in the military, and sometimes it flares up and makes standing steady difficult...got the stool for that but now use it everyday.

The key thing is to do what works for you...there is no right way except what makes sense.

(BTW, I do not trust the suction cup to hold all day...I stick it up to shave and remove it after.)

Had a mild case of polio as a youngster and now I suffer from post polio syndrome...my back gives me a lot of trouble and I can't stand up to shave so I use a stool pulled up close to the sink (which unfortuately has a cabinet underneath)...then I set the mirror on the edge near me...since I wear glasses and usually remove them to shave I flip the mirror to the 5X side...
