Hello and a great shave to all,
I was at a flea market a while back and saw an older vendor I am friends with. I asked him if he had any Old Spice Bottles and he said about six at home. I asked him if he would sell one or more and he said sure, just drop by and I will have it here. How much? He said, oh not over $1,000. I went by today and sure enough he had one with about an ounce still left in it. 1980's vintage. He gave it to me. I used to sell him cookies and crackers and give him extras for him and his grandchildren and that is how we became friends. I tried to pay him. He said just take it, don't you understand free? He is keeping the rest after thinking about it. The kids gave the rest to him.
Part 2.
Then while I was out I went to the new flea market nearby and found a man with a stock of Old Spice Bottles and you guessed it, they were all at home. He said I have two that I know of that aren't even open and one with over half still left. I just don't like the stuff. He said I can't believe you would buy it, they still sell it at Walmart. I will give it to you. I told him I would trade or pay when he sees what he has. I am to meet him when he comes back through in a few weeks.
The stuff is a little low on alcohol but the smell is still there and the Ivy Club stands up pretty well when compared after a few minutes on the skin.
Not a single DE razor at either flea market, but I got a bottle with some OS and a lead on more NOS.
